THE COMPETITION

 

It’s time for Boxfusion’s annual GovGeeks Code Competition, where you stand a chance to win your share of R40 000* if you come up with an impactful digital solution to social challenges in South Africa. Entries close on 30 November 2021.
 


 


 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 

We’re looking for computer science graduates, or similar, to come up with a clever solution that would have a social impact solving challenges faced by South Africa. Whether that’s by automating university applications or creating a chatbot for municipalities. The more original, the better!

WHAT IT'S WORTH

R20 000 FOR 1ST, R10 000 FOR 2ND AND 3RD

The winning solution will earn its creator R20 000 in cash, with R10 000 up for grabs for the second and third best submissions.

Plus, the top entries will be offered the opportunity to join Boxfusion’s Graduate Programme in 2022.

HIT SUBMIT!

To qualify, you will need to be in your final year studying BSc Computer Science (or similar)

You can submit a project that you have done as part of your year’s coursework or something you came up with on your own.

Include a short description of your project when submitting (200 words max)

A video demonstration of your project (no longer than 2.5 minutes)

A link to your code and other supporting materials hosted on Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox.
